Testing your web sites for cross-browser compatibility? Good! Getting confused about what version of browser you're looking at? Not so good ...

While writing the HTML Reference for SitePoint, this was an ever-present problem, so I adapted all the browser icons using a consistent typographic treatment (Cooper Black, in case you're interested). They helped me, so they might help you too.
The video below, in all its blurry wonder and non voice-over professional nature should at least give you a fighting chance at working out exactly what the heck you can/should do with these icons.
Which should make those CMD+Tab moments with heaps of browsers open a lot more clear to decipher!

My esteemed colleague Stuart Langridge has suggested that this can also work nice for Linux users, and he's put together a screencast of his own showing how to do it.
